What We’re Reading

There’s a LOT going on right now.

While we dearly hope that you and your work have not been negatively impacted by recent political priority changes (and the ripples), we’ve heard many stories from colleagues and friends that indicate otherwise.

As Tom Snyder mentioned in his State of the Region speech (see Jen’s TechWire coverage below), this is a period of uncertainty. And some of the most important things we can do in uncertainty are to try to (accurately) educate ourselves, and speak with our community.

In an effort to achieve these goals, we’re adding a new section to the newsletter: What We’re Reading Now.

We’re going to start with several articles today, and we’ll continue to include 2-3 articles in each newsletter to provide some extra insights or context for recent events in technology, business, security, and sustainability.

And, because we feel it’s important not to embed yourself too deeply in the news and social media of the day, we’ll also be including 1-2 articles or books that are not related to any of those topics above, and are just for reminding yourself of what life is all about.

Read on to learn more about our upcoming events and where you can find us. We’re always happy to chat and support you however we can, aiming to build partnership that brings us through any uncertainty, and beyond.

AI Café is Back!

This month’s article from MIT’s Technology Review is How DeepSeek ripped up the AI playbook—and why everyone’s going to follow its lead.

Why are we doing this? Because we want to give space to the crucial discussions that need to happen across disciplines, industries, and workplaces to figure out how to live and succeed with AI.

All are welcome! We don’t require any level of expertise or insight; we just hope you read the article and come ready to chat.
