Jen McFarland founded Marit Digital in 2022 after 20+ years in higher ed and corporate America. She has experience with a wide cross-section of digital tools and technologies, and an M.S. in Technical Communication. Jen is a contributing writer for WRAL TechWire and monthly columnist for Cary Magazine.
She is an avid reader, loves games, and is a busy mom to two kids.
Tosh Comer is a statewide ecosystem builder dedicated to strengthening North Carolina’s entrepreneurial landscape. She cultivates collaborative partnerships, amplifies access to resources, and leads outreach initiatives that inform and connect small businesses, lenders, and community partners. With expertise in project management and process improvement, she helps create efficient systems that support small business growth and development.
Drawing from experience in financial services, higher education, business counseling, and CDFIs, Tosh brings a strong foundation of knowledge and skills to her work.
Britt Novakowski is a WordPress developer with 15 years of experience. She has worked with non-profits, start-ups, and businesses of all sizes, but is particularly passionate about supporting cause-driven organizations.
In her spare time, Britt loves traveling and immersing herself in new countries and cultures.
Noel Nielsen is the Marketing and Coordinator. She has experience in fundraising, B2B, and B2C marketing strategies.
She enjoys nature, making art, and spending time with friends.
Kairavi is an undergraduate sustainability intern working on the development of a green tech site. She has experience in project management, graphic design, grant writing and reviewing, and more. Kairavi is a Park Scholar at NC State and directs the Sustainability Department of student government.
She loves reading, painting, and spending time outdoors.
Our Community
Marit Digital strives to enrich our local community (The Triangle, NC) and the broader region by offer training and support, as well as pro bono projects, for those in need of support and strategic guidance. Much of this work is done in support of minority and women-owned businesses.
Why? In our experience, marginalized groups don’t always have the opportunity to get education and experience in technical and digital operations. Marit Digital aims to help these businesses catch up, offering training and documentation to jump-start improved digital operations.
