This week we have quite a bit of material to share from our busy spring, so let’s jump right in!
Our 2025 Impact Report
We’re excited to share our Impact Report detailing work done last year. Some highlights…
- We achieved an average 4.57 client rating across categories including Communication, Reliability, Quality, Innovation, Knowledge, and Support.
- 60% of our clients were Women and/or BIPOC, with 13% nonprofits and 18% B Corps.
- We offered 18 training sessions on 8 different topics to 6 organizations.
And we have plenty of goals for this year – most of which are already underway in some form.
Watch ‘Sustainable AI’
I was able to speak at the All Things AI conference earlier this spring on the topic of Sustainable AI, and I’m grateful to report that the ATAI team records the talks. The audio could be better, but in case you’re interested, this is a <25 minutes primer about the impact of AI on the environment and actions you can take.
Green Host Check Update
One of our recent projects has been an extension for Chrome-based browsers to help users see if the websites and tools they use are verified green hosted (meaning they’re powered by renewable energy). We’ve done a couple of iterations, but our most recent update is next level.
The extension continues to operate with a quick display of the green hosting status, but there’s now an additional button to take users to a more in-depth preview including regional grid intensity of the hosting source, and other efficiency indicators for the hosting company.
We’ve also released a Firefox Add-on to provide the functionality in additional browsers. Please take a look, and we’d love to get your feedback!

We’ve Adopted a Spot!
Marit Digital is proud to be based in Cary (though we love our friends throughout the Triangle!). To that end, we’ve decided to “Adopt-a-Spot” through the Town of Cary.
We’ll be doing our first clean-up of Hampton Valley Road coming up Friday, May 22 from 9-11am. If you’d like to join us, check out the details on our calendar and please reach out to let us know you’re coming!
Best Thing Ever… That Week

What We’re Reading
Ok yes, there are lyrics in here this week. Rock on!
- Are Your Emails Accessible?, from EcoSend (via LinkedIn)
We could all be doing this better, but knowing what you’re missing is a great first step. Check out the article to help you get started. - Demand rises for ID verification amid AI advancements, from Semafor
As AI becomes better at faking being human, humans have to get better at establishing forms of “digital trust.” - ChatGPT Images 2.0 is genuinely fantastic, from Alex Banks
A lot of people have good things to say about Images 2.0. I’m still not a fan of OpenAI, but if you have to generate an image, this may be the most efficient and accurate way right now. - Try notebooks in Gemini to easily keep track of projects, from Google Blog
Your NotebookLM notebooks are now available via the Gemini interface. And there’s new slide editing functionality to check out.
