Earth Day Fun
Last Friday, I (Jen) was honored to be a judge for the 12th annual EarthShareNC Earth Day event. I was able to hit two locations: the Duke Lemur Center and the Piedmont Wildlife Center to witness teams from SAS and Leyline Renewable Capital working on projects to support and uplift these small non-profit centers.
This is an annual event, open to companies in the Triangle and Charlotte each Earth Day. Check out the EarthShareNC website for more information on the event and an infographic of their 2025 impacts!
Impact Infographics
Speaking of infographics about company impacts… *smoothest segue ever)* TODAY is the day for the online virtual class, Creating your Impact Report Infographic.
It’s not too late to sign up, and bonus points if you have these things ready when you log on…
- Your goals and priorities.
- Some quantitative stats and qualitative statements.
- Your graphics and other brand resources.
- Your references and requirements for sharing.
Even if you miss the class today, your team can use these as a framework for sharing your impact highlights when you’re ready.
Talking about Sustainable AI
I was delighted to join the All Things AI conference a few weeks ago to talk about the environmental impact of AI. While that talk isn’t yet available on YouTube, I’m happy to share my slides and resources here.

Summer Planning
I realize I’m getting ahead of myself but with current temperatures in the 90s, I think you’ll understand.
While summer is often a slower season, the Marit Digital team fills the hours with our Annual Site Reviews. This is our opportunity to work with hosting and maintenance clients to check in on the current status of their site(s), backups, email, accessibility, analytics, and much more. If you’re a client, keep an eye out next week for more updates and opportunities to start scheduling.
And if you’re not our client, please consider this your reminder to check on your website and technology tools! Many tools and software will likely see plenty of patches and updates in the coming weeks and months and it’s a good idea to get those taken care of ASAP.
