What being a B Corp means to me
First up, March means it’s #BCorpMonth, our first since we completed the B Corp certification process last September.
We started down this road for many reasons- none of which had anything to do with politics. That said, I’m glad to be a B Corp with the Trump administration in office.
Our values are very clear and they are – it seems – in direct opposition to the current dismantling of government services and protections, and the belittling of its employees.
Consider this the public statement that we’re going to continue to be a “force for good” in any way we can be for the next 3 years and 11 months.

Remember that time when I talked about AI Notetakers (no, the other time) and it turned into a laundry list of options?
Of course, the week after I posted that I had several experience ranging from poor to disastrous with my note-taking tools of choice. Suffice to say, while the options may be multiplying, they’re joining the market quickly and often in a less than polished state.
This mirrors a trend we’re seeing toward everybody offering #allthethings. I’m referring to blossoming of enterprise services from companies that previous delivered more niche products and services. For example Zoom now offers meeting scheduling, as well as a mail and calendar product. Notion is expanding into email and calendar offerings. Keep an eye out, as this tech “land grab” can only lead to continued enshittification of services.
In the meantime, I’m now paying for Sembly, and while it’s not without flaws, I’m happy with it so far…
