When I was still a student at NC State, working at the Computing Help(!) Desk, I veered off of my own volition to start working with the training team. Even at this formative stage of my career, one of the things I was always trying to do was share my knowledge in any way I could.
Fast forward to Marit Digital and I’m still teaching monthly classes, offering open “office hours” for questions, and trying to identify the topics that make you gasp and say “OMG I NEED to know about THAT.”
Now, in some cases, the classes I offer do not fall into the OMGINTKAT classification, but another group, the “you may not be excited about it, but you DO need to know about it.” These are classes like Security Fundamentals (go get a password manager!), SEO (by the time we need to talk about it, you’re behind), and intimidating topics like AI (or AI+HR).
In order to help you be successful, we want to meet you where you are with these – and any other topics you might call “challenging.” So we’re asking you take a moment and share the tech topic(s) that keep you up at night.

What’s in it for you?
First, we’re going to put your fears out on social media (Anonymously. I’m definitely not going to tell everyone your Gmail password has been the same for the last 4 years). You’ll get to see what everyone is thinking about and I promise, this is going to help you realize that a LOT of people share these challenges.
Second, one of the people who completes the form will get their choice of a free in-person training on the topic of your choice, or 10% off a Marit Digital project. Might come in handy.
Third, we’re going to take all these responses and – over the next few months – we’ll offer training and/or office hours (in person and/or online) to address your concerns.
Honestly, there’s enough stress in the world right now. If we can get each of you a little less worried about your tech, that’s a step in the right direction.
